Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at a horse rescue is a wonderful experience, but it can also be dirty and tough.

Horses frequently come to Sundown Horse Rescue in bad shape, and it takes a lot of work to help them recover their health and (and sometimes) their trust in humans. Coming out to the ranch to volunteer usually means you'll get pretty messy. You'll also get a good work-out and have a lot of fun!

Our biggest current needs are for:

  • Feeding and Grooming Horses
  • Cleaning Stalls and Sheds
  • General Handy work

If you're not the "get your hands dirty" type, don't let that stop you!. We also need help with things such as fundraising, events, parades, horse and pony rides and lots of other activities. If you don't hear from us within a week, please call the Sundown Horse Rescue directly at 651-407-1908.
